Lesson Plan: Doing the Word
Krista Lovell, Christian educator and book reviewer for Storypath, has developed a rich resource that can be used in a variety of ways to consider how we are engaged in living the Word as we engage in ministries of social justice. Whether as an intergenerational event, part of a family retreat, an ‘around the world ‘ vacation Bible school or a five session church school class, the ideas expressed in Scripture and the stories these books tell can help children, youth and adults reflect on responding to God’s Word with faithful action. All five books used in this plan have been reviewed on Storypath and you can find the reviews here:
Each Kindness, Wangari’s Trees of Peace, Cups Held Out, The Good Garden and The Lunch Thief
Storypath is happy to provide this plan for any church to copy and use at no cost. However, we always ask that you give written credit to Krista Lovell and that you acknowledge that the resource came from Storypath.

Thanks, this is a great resource! I’m considering using this in my spiritual arts camp this summer. Appreciate you sharing it!
Thanks Krista! This looks terrific, just the kind of thing I am always looking for to us at our All-Church camp, and am always amazed that there is nothing out there.
