It’s a New Day!
If you’ve ever poked around on the site to read the About page, you know that this blog has been populated with reviews, ideas and curriculum created by graduate students and alumni from Union Presbyterian Seminary – Presbyterian School of Christian Education. But, let’s face it: that name was pretty unwieldy to write and say! So we’re happy to tell you that as of today, July 1, we have an official new name. Going forward, we are now Union Presbyterian Seminary and you can see our new name and our new logo represented in this post. I’m not going to go back and change the name in all past posts. We’ll just count the school name there as part of our strong history.
We’re still the same graduate school with the same commitment to preparing men and women for pastoral ministry and Christian education leadership in the church. We will continue to look for ways to link the work that our students do on our campuses with your own ministry in your congregation.
That’s why we’re also excited to tell you about a new blog that is live today! This resource comes out of the Theology and Film class taught by Dr. Pamela Mitchell-Legg at our campus in Charlotte. The reviews and questions there share Dr. Mitchell-Legg’s conviction that movies can become partners in theological conversation for persons of faith.
Notice there’s a new tab on the home page of our book blog to this new film resource. But you can click here and check it out now. We hope you’ll go there frequently and share your own ideas about film and faith.
