Confirmation Curriculum using Children’s Literature
Katie Todd, MDiv and MACE candidate at Union-PSCE in Charlotte, developed a 15-24 week confirmation curriculum for 13 – 16 year olds that incorporates picture books and books for adolescents! Written and used in a Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation, the sessions focus on some of the central theological themes in the Reformed tradition as well as Christian practices. Katie has graciously agreed to share her material for download and use in other churches. If you use the material, please give Katie credit!
You can download the background and rational of the series here – Thinking Theologically with Adolescents – Overview. Actual sessions will be posted over the next several weeks.

Please add Katie’s name to the PDF overview so that printed copies don’t later get distributed without giving her credit.
Adding the date the document was created would also be useful–10 years down the road when someone comes across a copy and wonders when it was developed.
Thanks for this. I’m disappointed not to be able to access it all now, but that is understandable.
Is there anywhere to get the complete Confirmation curriculum from Katie Todd?
I would like to see the complete curriculum also.
We do not have the complete curriculum. I’m pretty sure it was a 24 weeks curriculum and Katie gave us a few of these sessions as part of her class assignment. I have written her but it will be her decision about whether they can all be released here or if she has other plans for how to distribute them. I’m sure she’ll be delighted to know of your interest!
