Comment: Paul had persecuted others for their beliefs that Jesus was the Messiah. On the road to Damascus, Paul has an experience that changes his understanding of Jesus. In the middle of the night, Max has an experience that changes his understanding of his dog, Fabio. Fabio may look like a dog, but he feels and acts like a cat. Understanding who Fabio is changes Max’s way of being a pet owner. Understanding who Jesus is changes Paul’s way of being a person of faith. As we read this text and story we are invited to consider what God is calling us to see and understand in new ways.
