Comment: This psalm is a poetic, musical celebration of praise. Myers book of poetry explores the musical art of Jazz. The poem “Now I Come In” pairs quite nicely with Psalm 150 as an exploration of the way music expresses “so much more than a simple tune or rhyme,” but is truly an expression of the musician’s heart and very being. What better way to sing praise to God than with our heart and very being?! Use this text and story as an invitation for your congregation to sing, dance, play instruments and put their whole selves into a song of praise for God.
