What do you do with children’s and adolescent literature?
When this site began, we saw it as a way to connect the work that students in a particular class at Union-PSCE with the work of all of those serving in the local church whether professionally or as a layperson. We hope the book reviews, lesson plans and ideas have been useful to you.
But we know there are lots more books that we haven’t reviewed, ideas for using children’s literature that we haven’t talked about, and specific lesson plans that you’ve used that included children’s books as a major component. So we’d love to hear from you about what you’re doing!
If you have a book you love that you’d like to review, we ask that you use the format that all the students use and it is available for download below. Save your review as a Word file and send it to Pamela Mitchell Legg (plegg@union-psce.edu).
Lesson plans and ideas don’t have to be in a specific format, but we would like to receive them in Word as well.
We look forward to hearing from all of you who love books!

Earlier in December I requested information on a book by Oliver Jeffers called Stuck. I am fairly certain I saw a book review from this site concerning that book. If I am correct, would you please inform where I can find that information again. Your site is encouraging and just tonight I found a book by Virginia Thomas: Children’s Literature for all God Children. Thank you for all you do and I look forward to your response.
I apologize for not seeing your first comment! I have searched through the site and although we’ve mentioned other books by Jeffers, I don’t find Stuck in either our book review section or used in a Lectionary Link I’m sorry not to be able to help. I even looked at another site related to connecting children’s literature and faith (Picture Book Theology) and didn’t see anything there either. And we love Children’s Literature for all God’s Children! Glad you found it.
